Estonian e-Residency Kit Unboxing, how does it look like?

Are you excited about the idea of establishing a company in Estonia or making transactions inside the European Union? Before we decide which kind of company it should be, we have to apply for its e-Residency program to become this card (which to make things clear, it is not an identification card). Once we are accepted, we will get the Estonian e-Residency kit to be picked up at an embassy or at a pickup location. Let's take a look at the unboxing of this kit and what is brings with.

Background, what is an Estonian e-Residency?

Estonian e-Residency is a digital identity program launched by the government of Estonia in 2014, that allows non-Estonian residents to access Estonian e-services and conduct business online in Estonia.

Estonia is a small, technologically advanced country in Northern Europe, and has been a leader in digital governance for many years. The e-Residency program is one of the ways in which Estonia is leveraging its digital infrastructure to create new economic opportunities and attract entrepreneurs and investors from around the world.

The e-Residency program offers individuals a digital ID card that can be used to sign documents electronically, access secure online services, and authenticate their identity in Estonia. This allows e-Residents to start and run companies online, open bank accounts, and conduct business with Estonian companies and government agencies, without having to be physically present in Estonia.

The program is open to anyone in the world, regardless of their nationality or place of residence. However, it's important to note that e-Residency does not grant citizenship, tax residency, or the right to enter or reside in Estonia. It simply provides access to Estonia's digital services and infrastructure.
